Job Description SummaryThe Energy and GHG Inventory Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing the collection, management, analysis, and continuous improvement of GHG data and annual inventory for GE Vernova and developing and tracking programs that increase energy efficiency throughout GE Vernova. The Energy and GHG Inventory Manager will work with business and functional teams to ensure the relevant roles are executed according to the GHG Protocol and aligned with company policies and procedures. This role will report into the Executive Climate Strategy and Operations Leader for GE Vernova and support the Corporate and Business sustainability functions. This role will also support the analysis and improvement of data to ensure the highest quality data gathering, record keeping, and reporting.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Collect, analyze, and manage data related to GHG emissions, energy use, water use, waste, and other key environmental metrics across the business units and key functional teams.Lead the annual corporate-level GHG inventory in accordance with the GHG Protocol across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.Lead development of internal GHG inventory and energy efficiency policies and procedures.Partner with key functions to continuously improve GHG data reporting for internal progress tracking.Build tools that measure the carbon impact of energy efficiency projects, manage project pipeline, and provide implementation support to businesses.Support the Sr. Sustainability Program Manager in analyzing GHG inventory trends. Support the Sustainability Data Analytics Leader on mandatory and voluntary reporting including CDP, Sustainability Report, and CSRD.Train teams on best practices for carbon data management and reporting.Support the team in preparing data tables, dashboards, and other internal progress reporting mechanisms for reporting to Senior Leadership team.Work closely with internal partners to edit the enterprise standard and ensure processes align with it.Work closely with controllership and data technology teams to improve and automate Sustainability data.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferably in science or any quantitative field such as environmental science, data analytics, statistics, or a related field.Minimum 5 years experience in carbon management, emissions accounting or a related sustainability role.Expertise in the GHG Protocol and other emerging frameworks (ISSB, EU Taxonomy, CSRD).Focused on and passionate about process improvement.Detailed-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.Desired Characteristics
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint).Certifications such as GHG inventory quantifier, ISSP-SA, or other similar certifications.Self-starter and strong work ethic.Ability to set and meet multiple priorities, initiatives and to take on new challenges.If contracted in the US:The base pay range for this position is $100,000 - 163,000 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus.
