Work Arrangement
Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Milford, MI on a full-time basis.
The Role
Utilizing the GMS Tools, the Operations Technician will be responsible preforming dynamometer testing operations in a specified area. In this role, the individual selected will be responsible for meeting daily task requirements relative to test execution.
As a technician, this individual will report to the Group Leader of the area assigned, working closely with the Engineers, Calibrators, and Suppliers to support the testing requirements in the Dyno Test Cells.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
Work both independently & closely with multi-disciplined teams to understand functional requirements and implement appropriate solution
Complete appropriate testing procedures
Set-up and perform ICE/EV testing on vehicles.
Evaluate results
Recommend corrective action
Flexibility to potentially work a 4 day/10-hour schedule (Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday) on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.
Work both independently & closely with multi-disciplined teams to understand functional requirements and implement appropriate solutions
Collaborate with other workers across several functions and levels
This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate


Additional Job DescriptionYour Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Associates Degree or 1+ years of relevant experience required
Automotive experience with 1-2 of the following skillsets:
Mechanical, Instrumentation, Product Electronics, Testing/driving, Fabrication, Machining, Hybrid/battery, controls
Possess good interpersonal, computer, oral, and written skills
Experience executing technical documents
This position requires the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis and successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Report review
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience with automotive testing methods
2+ years in Dynamometer Testing / Lab Operations Setup
Emission testing equipment or chassis dynamometer experience
Experience with AVL, Horiba or Burke Porter
Experience communicating effectively with your direct leader, and fellow team members
