Are you passionate about making an impact in the energy industry? We are looking for a results-oriented individual to join the AWS Energy Team. In this role, you will help support the procurement, delivery, and reporting of power for data centers in an effort to create a diverse, clean, and low-cost energy portfolio. The optimal candidate will have a results orientated approach, analytical skill set, and strong financial acumen.
Key job responsibilities
Own the analysis of the energy delivery and spending patterns for improvement opportunities across the AWS Infrastructure power portfolio
Analyze trends in the energy space to proactively identify opportunities to reduce cost, minimize risk and leverage opportunities that benefit Amazon
Work collaboratively with Amazon Infrastructure team to support the development of strategic energy sourcing opportunities
Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format
Identifying system improvement opportunities by analyzing data, monitoring metrics, and partnering with internal teams
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Energy/ or similar field
- Experience with Excel (VBA, power pivots, etc.), or Python/SQL.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of power/energy/utilities space.
- Excellent speaking-listening-writing skills and attention to details

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
