Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care and clerical/administrative activities. * Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output. * Ensures supplies and equipment are available and in working condition, including instrument sterilization. * Performs designated sterile and aseptic procedures using proper technique (i.e., venipuncture and phlebotomy, IV insertions, and foley insertions). Maintains sterile field while handling instruments during procedures.
