**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** **Position Purpose:** The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for assisting the physicians during Endoscopy procedures. Additional responsibilities include cleaning and disinfection of endoscopes and equipment, room set up, turnover, and supply maintenance. **​** **What you will Do:** + Assists the physician and RN with specific diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures such as obtaining and labeling of specimens and assisting in procedures including ERCP. + Demonstrates technical competency in the cleaning and disinfection process of endoscopes and accessory equipment. + Assists the RN in the implementation of the established plan of care (positioning of patients and transporting patients). Responds to emergency situations as directed by the RN. + Assists in cleaning and setting up endoscopy procedure rooms for the day, between cases and after the last case of the day. + Responsible for and assists with departmental paperwork. Documents accurately and in a timely manner. Maintains confidentiality of data, patient and staff. **Hours/Schedule:** Part time: Days with a weekend and Holiday call rotation. **Minimum Qualifications:** Education: + .
