End User Services Specialist

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT Job Summary: Responsible for the smooth operation of the IT functions and for maintaining high internal customer satisfaction with efficient and complete services and support. Sets up and troubleshoots PCs, provides user training, administers help-desk support, and maintains hardware. Administers the network, the network files and/or databases, and the software used. Assists with maintaining equipment and software inventory, and tracking licenses and warranties. Collaborate with other IT team members on documentation of policies and procedures, setting corporate standards for hardware and software, and by evaluating and recommending new software systems and/or technologies for the corporation. This position reports directly to the End User Services Supervisor. Achievement of objectives must include an overriding commitment to quality that must permeate the areas of responsibility. Enable and Drive Change in the Organization. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE · Provide Tier?2 escalation support, troubleshooting complex hardware, software, and networking issues for onsite and remote users. · Support hybrid workforce technologies, including VPN clients, MFA tokens, and secure remote access solutions. · Install, configure, and maintain workstations, peripherals, and approved applications, coordinate hardware lifecycle activities and asset tracking. · Monitor and triage the helpdesk queue, ensuring accurate categorization, prioritization, and timely resolution of tickets. · Document all work performed, contribute to SOPs and the internal knowledge base, and mentor junior technicians on best practices. · Collaborate with cross functional teams and external vendors on IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives. · Maintain network security and performance through routine monitoring, analysis, and adherence to compliance standards. · Manage physical inventory levels. · Maintain a clean and organized workspace utilizing 6S methodology. · Collaborate with Asana projects within helpdesk and in IT generally. · Maintain an organized, standardized, and compliant; Active Directory, Intune, ConnectWise, and MDM Apple Business Manager and Verizon / AT&T accounts. Duties may change without notice at management’s sole discretion WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL · Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent professional experience · Minimum 5+ years of progressive IT support experience, with at least 1 year in an escalation or Tier 2 capacity · Familiarity with IT platforms (e.g., HALO, IssueTrak, ConnectWise, or similar) · Experience with BitLocker encryption administration, hardware lifecycle tracking, and asset tagging · Comfortable interpreting and enforcing IT compliance standards (e.g., NIST, CIS benchmarks) · Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams on project-based IT deployments · Knowledge of basic computer hardware and desktop operating systems (Windows 10/11) · User account management in Active Directory and Office 365 · Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities · Excellent technical knowledge of network hardware, software, and data security · Proven experience in an IT support role · Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills · Exceptional written and oral communication skills · Excellent interpersonal skills · Understanding of technical documentation Willingness to travel and support multi-locations across the business units Physical & Environmental requirements : · Occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like. · Occasionally moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. · Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods. · Occasionally moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. · Occasionally adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions. · Constantly communicating with others to exchange information. · Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrist, hands, and/or fingers. · Occasionally operating machinery and/or power tools. · Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned. · Occasionally subjected to low and high temperatures. · Constant sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. · Prolonged use of computer monitors.
