EMT Security Officer – Full Time – Des Moines, IA

This position is an EMT and Security Officer position - performing Security Officer duties when EMT duties are not needed.

Available Shift: Mon - Fri: 8:30AM - 4:30PM

Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The EMT position administers first aid treatment at our client sites, arranges for transport of sick or injured persons to a medical facility, and works as a member of the emergency medical team.  They help maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises checking for irregularities and inspecting emergency equipment. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our EMT Officers will also provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.

Position Requirements:

18 years of age or older. High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.Standard computer / technology skills needed.Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus!!Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift. Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation. Must have EMT Certification.Must have great customer service skills.Must be able to perform walking patrols
