Get to Know Your Team: BSA provides 24-hour paramedic care through our ambulance service, which responds to emergencies in Canyon and 825 square miles of Randall County. BSA EMS staffs two stations 24/7/365, one in northern Randall County and one in Canyon. Responsibilities The Basic EMT is responsible for providing emergency care and transportation of the sick and injured in accordance with established protocols, Baptist St. Anthony’s Health System Policies, and Department Guidelines. Safely operates emergency vehicles in compliance with all laws, Baptist St. Anthony’s Policies, and Department Guidelines. Accepts other tasks as assigned by the Emergency Medical Service Director. Qualifications Job Requirements: High School (or GED equivalent) diploma. Certification or licensure as an EMT-Basic by the Texas Department of State Health Services. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider completion. Valid minimum Class C Texas Driver License with restriction “A” permissible. Completion of the following Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency. National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800.A is required within 80 days of employment. Preferred Job Requirements: Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS). Field experience. National Registry.
