All while understanding that **together** we are even better. **Schedule:** Full Time **Shift** : Nights **Location:** 601 East Rollins Street Orlando, FL 32803 **The community you'll be caring for:** AdventHealth Orlando + Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando + Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America + AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country + We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year **The role you'll contribute:** Provides patients with support treatment, care, and evaluations prior to and during transportation. **The value you'll bring to the team:** + Provides primary patient care activities on transports approved to be at the BLS level by the EMS Medical Director + Provides care, serving as the secondary provider and assistant to the Paramedic or other healthcare provider during ALS or CCT transports + Assesses, plans, implements intervention, and evaluates the appropriate level of patient care according to Florida BLS scope of practice, EMS Protocols, department policies and procedures including the following: * Oxygen, up to 15 Lpm via NRB, NC, Venturi, etc. * Automated External Defib (AED) * Automatic Chest Compression Device (LUCAS, Autopulse) * Supraglottic Airway with manual ventilatory support * Saline lock peripheral IV Access without infusions. (no medication or IV fluid administration) * Tourniquet Application * Non-ambulatory patients, unable to sit in wheelchair * Pediatric (12 years and younger) Behavioral Health Transports * Autonomous Organ Transplant Team + Utilizes appropriate medical equipment and comprehends injury/medical severity Qualifications **The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed** **:** + High School Grad or Equiv + Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) + Driver's License (DL) + Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT) This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
