Description We are looking for a skilled Employment Attorney to join our client in Oakland, California. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in plaintiff-side employment law, including experience handling disability cases and litigation. This role requires an experienced and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in discovery, briefing, and courtroom advocacy. Responsibilities: • Represent clients in employment law cases, with a focus on plaintiff-side matters and disability claims. • Conduct thorough legal research and draft compelling briefs to support case arguments. • Manage all aspects of discovery, including document review, interrogatories, and depositions. • Advocate for clients in court proceedings, including hearings, motions, and trials. • Collaborate with clients to assess their claims and provide strategic legal guidance. • Utilize case management software to efficiently organize case files and track deadlines. • Prepare and file legal documents, ensuring compliance with court requirements. • Handle complaint administration and work to resolve disputes effectively. • Monitor developments in employment law to provide up-to-date counsel. • Coordinate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure seamless litigation processes Requirements • At least 7 years of experience practicing employment law, with a focus on plaintiff-side cases. • Proficiency in handling disability claims and litigation processes. • Advanced skills in legal briefing and courtroom advocacy. • Expertise in managing discovery, including document review and depositions. • Familiarity with case management and document management software. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess legal claims. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients. • A valid license to practice law in the state of California.
