Who We WantThe Employee Relations Specialist supports the HR Business Partner (HRBP) Manager in various aspects of employee relations, HR policy administration, and internal talent movement. This role is responsible for managing employee relations cases, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures, facilitating internal candidate tracking, and contributing to HR projects and data reporting. We are a fast-paced and highly motivated Employee Success Team and if this opportunity feels like the next step in your career, this could be the right opportunity for you!What You’ll DoManage the documentation and tracking of employee relations cases, including performance issues and disciplinary actions.Draft corrective action documents such as verbal and written warnings, and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).Track employee probationary periods and related documentation.Support the HRBP Manager in resolving employee conflicts and conducting investigations.Escalate complex or sensitive employee relations issues to the HRBP Manager.Serve as the first point of contact for employee and manager inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.Provide guidance and support in the administration and interpretation of HR policies related to areas like leave of absence, remote work arrangements, and employee handbooks.Assist with the maintenance and updates of HR documentation, including employee handbooks, manager guides, and internal work regulations.Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition (TA) team to track internal candidate movement, including promotions, transfers, and job changes.Create and manage job requisitions in the HR system, ensuring accurate and timely updates.Escalate internal movement situations that involve policy considerations or require HRBP Manager review.Assist with HR audits to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.Support compliance-related projects, such as those focused on [e.g., workplace safety, data privacy, or other relevant regulations].Contribute to the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process maps for HR processes.Prepare and analyze HR data reports, including turnover, headcount, and employee relations metrics.Coordinate logistics for HR-related training programs, including scheduling, materials preparation, and attendance tracking.Prepare termination documentation and coordinate with relevant departments (e.g., Payroll) for final pay and benefits.Support employee offboarding processes, such as scheduling exit interviews, preparing exit documentation and managing system access.Collaborate with the Facilities team on compliance and safety initiatives, such as emergency drills and safety training.Assist with communication and documentation related to workplace safety and compliance.Maintain flexibility to support other HR operational needs, participate in professional development activities, and assist with GDL-US Operations support as assigned.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, related field, or professional experience equivalent. 2-5 years of Human Resources experience Demonstrated knowledge of Mexico labor law and 1+ years of employee relations experience requiredMust be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written in English and SpanishSuperior written and verbal communication skills. You understand that communication is key and change management is an area of experience and passion. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Ability to conduct themselves with a high level of discretion.
