Employee Relations Coordinator

The Employee Relations Coordinator serves as a key liaison between the Human Resources department and employees across the organization. This role is instrumental in fostering a positive work environment by promoting open communication, mutual respect, and Just Culture principles.  

Responsibilities

Guide supervisors and managers on fair and constructive coaching approaches that align with Just Culture principles when addressing employee performance, conduct and behavior concerns. Collaborate with management to develop fair and transparent performance improvement plans, corrective action notices and steps in the disciplinary process that reflect Just Culture principles and promote accountability, learning, and continuous improvement. Support the administration of worker’s compensation by managing all required documentation, initiating and tracking interactive processes, identifying employee risk factors and safety concerns, and coordinating with workers’ compensation insurance providers to ensure timely follow-up on all claims.Review all terminations to ensure the actions comply with policies and practices.Process voluntary terminations.Assist with involuntary terminations when needed. 

Requirements

AA/BS in Human Resources preferred or in a related field, minimum of one - two years of experience in a generalist setting, specifically in employee relations or equivalent education, knowledge and experience.PHR/SPHR or other human resources certification preferred.Nonprofit Healthcare experience is a plus. Computer knowledge and skills, i.e., HRIS, payroll and Microsoft Office.Commitment to HIPAA and ability to abide by standards of professional ethics and maintain confidentiality.Experience with Paycom or Relias is a Plus. 

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
