Employee Relations & Compliance Manager

We steward precious resources by finding more sustainable solutions. **Job Summary** The Employee Relations & Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing employee relations programs, ensuring compliance with labor laws, promoting a positive workplace environment, and resolving complex employee issues. This role acts as a trusted advisor to management and employees, facilitating conflict resolution and supporting employee engagement initiatives. **Responsibilities & Qualifications** **Key Responsibilities** + Employee Relations Strategy: Develop and implement employee relations strategies that align with organizational goals and promote a culture of fairness, respect, and accountability. + Conflict Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and disputes. Investigate complaints thoroughly and fairly, ensuring appropriate resolution and follow-up. + Policy Development and Compliance: Assist in the creation, communication, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures. Ensure adherence to federal, state/provincial, and local employment laws. + Coaching and Advising: Provide guidance to managers and employees on performance management, disciplinary actions, workplace behavior, and conflict resolution. + Investigations: Conduct internal investigations regarding allegations of misconduct, harassment, or policy violations. Document findings and recommend appropriate disciplinary or corrective actions. + Reporting and Analytics: Track employee relations metrics and trends. Prepare reports and make recommendations to improve workplace relations. + Training and Development: Partner with Learning & Development to deliver training on topics such as workplace conduct, anti-harassment, and effective communication. + Collaboration: Work closely with HR Business Partners, Legal, and senior leadership to ensure consistent and equitable application of policies and practices. **Qualifications** + Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) preferred. + Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years focused on employee relations or conflict resolution. + Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices across Canada and the United States. + Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills along with High emotional intelligence and discretion, Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. + Ability to manage sensitive situations with diplomacy and confidentiality. **Additional Information** \#LI-Office **TYLin** offers a comprehensive total rewards package.
