**Description**
**JOB SUMMARY:**
* The Employee Events role will develop and execute tiered, company\-wide activations and events in support of the employee experience strategy\. This position will be responsible for conceptualizing, coordinating, and executing cross\-functional employee events that align with Textron Aviation's employee brand and culture initiatives\.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
I\.Organize, coordinate and host cross\-company internal occasions and celebrations, from planning through to closure, including responsibilities such as calculating budgets, choosing locations, arranging schedules, selecting speakers/entertainment, choosing vendors, selecting menus \(if applicable\), and project managing the development and distribution of communications supporting the event \(invitations, calendar appts, reminder messages, post\-event surveys\)\.
II\.In support of the employee experience strategy and in alignment with employer brand, create original and compelling event themes, concepts and content for meetings and events\.
III\.Prioritize the most high\-value event deliverables and ensure every deliverable aligns with the employee experience strategy and employer brand\.
IV\.Select, negotiate and manage contracts for vendors and service providers\.
V\.Conceptualize and execute the production of promotional, corporate gifts that are in alignment with the employer brand, liaising with suppliers, identifying and managing costs and timelines\.
VI\.Budget and secure photography support for the event, and work in collaboration with the Content team to conceptualize and execute videography needs
VII\.Attend functions and events to ensure that operations run smoothly, troubleshooting any problems or issues that arise during the course of the function/event
VIII\.Identify possible project management roadblocks and develop and implement workable solutions\.
IX\.Develop after\-action event reviews to report to senior Communications team\.
X\.Serve as Communications vendor liaison to request project estimates, project manage work, and ensure invoice receipt and processing\.
XI\.Develop and sustain processes to continually improve the efficiency of the communications function and channels, including measuring impact of events and functions\.
**Qualifications**
**EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:**
* Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field
* Event planning certification preferred, but not required
* Minimum 5 years of relative experience required\.
**QUALIFICATONS:**
* Experience in aviation industry and global exposure preferred
* Established network of contacts in the event industry
Outstanding event and project management skills to include organizing, planning and execution experience, including experience managing outside agencies and vendors
* Must have excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills utilizing AP style
Excellent verbal communications skills are also essentialDemonstrated team building and leadership skillsTeam player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence within all levels of the organization and with external stakeholdersAbility to assimilate information from a variety of sources, analyze information, and recommend and direct courses of action to be takenAbility to take initiative, multitask and complete projects, all while remaining flexible and responsive when faced with multiple, time\-sensitive requestsMotivated, detail\-oriented and self\-directed to deliver high quality resultsCreativity, interpersonal savvy and the ability to manage diversityProficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe products, as well as knowledgeable in social networking and content marketing forumsJob located in Wichita, Kansas
