Job Purpose

Do you enjoy crafting compelling content, managing digital platforms, and exploring innovative ways to connect with employees? If so, BorgWarner seeking an employee communications specialist to join its corporate Employee Engagement and Communications team.

The specialist role manages the development and execution of a broad range of employee communication efforts, from creating multi-channel campaigns and overseeing our in-house video production capabilities to being the point person on our enterprise-wide internal social media platform. You’ll help develop strategies, support company initiatives, explore new technologies, and bring to life communications that inform, educate, inspire, and engage our people. This is an exciting opportunity to blend creativity and strategy in a role where your work will directly shape the way our teams communicate, collaborate, and thrive together.

This is a hybrid position.

Key Responsibilities

Content creation and execution of employee-focused communications, including campaign planning and measurement, as well as the development of materials such as flyers, posters, videos, newsletters and toolkitsManage our in-house video and editing studio, including all aspects of video production from pre-production (storyboarding, shot lists) to post-production (editing, sound, graphics)Manage the company’s internal social platform to drive engagement, build community, and support transparent information sharing. Responsibilities include user support and training, collaborating with IT on feature updates and security, analyzing usage data to improve the platform, and developing strategies to boost adoption and enhance the user experience.Support the planning and execution of in-person and virtual employee and leadership events such as conferences and town hallsSupport the planning and execution of employee engagement campaigns, including cultural observances, global company celebrations and charitable giving eventsSupport all enterprise-level financial reporting communications, working closely with our Corporate Financial and Investor Relations teams to keep employees apprised of our financial performance and any corresponding actionsCollaborate with our global Human Resources and cross-functional business teams to enable consistent employee messaging across the organizationPartner with our business units and functions to provide employee communications counsel and supportLiaise with our corporate marketing team to promote external/internal communications collaborations and alignmentStay up to date on employee communications and engagement trends, best practices, and internal social network technologies to bring new ideas and ways to implement them to the team

You have experience managing employee-focused digital communication and engagement platformsYou have proven experience in audio, visual, and video creation and editing technologiesYou have an excellent understanding of communications principles and best practices, particularly within a corporate or internal settingYou’re organized and able to prioritize, manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesYou have strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration skillsYou have a solid knowledge of how to measure communications successYou have an aptitude for data and data analytics, knowing how to present complex data in a clear and actionable way to diverse audiencesYou have experience managing budgetsYou have experience managing outside vendorsYou are curious, creative, and open-minded—you’re not afraid to ask why or why not, and you’re a natural at coming up with ideas on what to do nextYou are enthusiastic about learning and using advanced employee communication and engagement technologiesYou have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse, global teams

Salary Range:

$68,800 - $94,600
