We have an exciting opportunity for an **Employee Benefits Specialist** to join the team! As an **Employee** **Benefit Specialist,** the selected candidate will : + Provide direct employee support using a proactive, problem-solving approach, ensuring prompt follow-up and resolution on employee questions via email, phone, and in person. + Administer annual benefits enrollment changes and qualifying life event benefit plan changes at a local level. + Administer effective communications and education of benefits and leave policies per local and corporate policy. + Create and update benefits communications on the intranet and at regular touchpoints with colleagues. + Partner with HR, the Business Office, Legal, and Corporate to implement benefits program changes locally. + Play a lead role in delivering benefit program information (New Hires, Open Enrollment, Qualifying Life Events, etc.). + Follow team processes to ensure appropriate escalation on sensitive and priority cases. + Efficiently leverage vendor platforms to support regular audits and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance. + Review and track benefit changes, PTO enrollment/changes, terminations, transfers, tuition reimbursements, and leaves within HRIS and payroll systems. + Process Leave of Absence communications and documents, maintain records in PeopleSoft, update SharePoint data, and communicate with HR colleagues, directors, and payroll. + Make copies, type, and perform other necessary office activities to maintain up-to-date files. + Collaborate with team members to complete surveys, initiatives, and events for the company. + Develop, write, and maintain department processes in collaboration with local and corporate teams. + Analyze benefit processes and identify opportunities for efficiency and best practices. + Maintain accurate benefits records in HRIS and related systems. + Serve as a liaison between corporate communications in the ticket system. + Conduct monthly audits of benefits data and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance. + Review and monitor dependents over age 26 to ensure proper coverage and eligibility. + Track and manage employee benefit premium accruals, ensuring accurate accounting and reporting. + Oversee tracking and collection of outstanding benefit-related payments or documentation. + Administer, track, and process payouts for tuition reimbursement requests in accordance with policy. + Perform additional duties as assigned. **Requisition Qualifications:** This position has been posted at multiple levels. May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time). **Equipment and Machines** Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.). **Attendance** Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements. **Other Essential Functions** Professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
