We are now hiring Emissions Inspector in Leesburg, VA!Transdev in Leesburg, VA is seeking an experienced Emissions Inspector with Light Duty technician experience to join our growing team. This critical role includes vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, emissions inspections, and repair of light-duty diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring the safety, compliance, and performance of our fleet. Transdev is proud to offer:  Competitive compensation package of minimum $26.00 – Maximum $33.00 An additional $.10 per hour for each ASE certification you possess or obtainBenefits include: Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks Sick days: 5 days Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability. Company paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement 

Key Responsibilities: 

Conduct Virginia State emissions inspections and ensure compliance with all applicable regulationsPerform preventive maintenance (PMs), annual DOT inspections, and safety inspectionsDiagnose and repair light-duty vehicle systems including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, emissions systems, and transmissionsAccurately complete work orders and maintain service recordsAssist with on-site and mobile repairs in emergency situationsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations

Qualifications: 

Valid driver’s license requiredVirginia State Emissions Inspector Certification. Minimum 1 year of experience in automotive maintenance and repair, or related technical educationStrong understanding of emissions systems, diagnostics, and testing proceduresPossess personal mechanic’s tool setWillingness to participate in our ASE certification program (paid training & bonuses provided)Subject to DOT drug testing and physical. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.Physical Requirements:The essential functions of this position require the ability to:Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfacesPush and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground levelWithstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
