Job Title: Emissions TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking dedicated Emissions Technicians to focus on EPA testing for mileage and emission standards. As an Associate Technician, you will utilize your basic knowledge and skills, gained through formal education, to perform essential tasks under supervision. This entry-level position is ideal for those with little or no experience but who have some formal education in a core skill area.
Responsibilities
+ Set up and perform emission testing on vehicles.
+ Evaluate test results and recommend corrective actions.
+ Drive and set vehicles on the test site for testing purposes, which may include running multiple tests or handling a single vehicle throughout the day.
Essential Skills
+ Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills to collaborate effectively with varying levels of the organization.
+ Emerging partnership and teamwork skills with the ability to learn from and share knowledge with coworkers in a fast-paced environment.
+ Formal education in a core skill area, such as an associate degree or certification from a trade school.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Automotive industry experience is preferred but not required.
+ 2+ years of experience in Dynamometer Testing or Lab Operations Setup is preferred.
+ Experience with AVL, Horiba, or Burke Porter equipment.
+ Understanding of Global Manufacturing System principles.
Work Environment
This position requires on-site work at the Milford Proving Grounds, specifically in the Chassis Dyno Lab. The facility is equipped with both state-of-the-art and legacy test equipment and provides an engaging environment with engineering centers, test labs, garages, and test tracks. Open to all shifts, candidates should indicate their shift preferences in their application.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Milford Charter Township, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
