Premier Veterinary Group in Orland Park is looking for a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency and Critical Care Department.
The primary responsibility is to triage and provide care for patients presenting to and hospitalized in our Emergency and Critical Care Department. The successful candidate embodies our culture in treating every client with the utmost courteous and attentive treatment possible, with a keen sensitivity to the emotional bond between owners and their pets. This is a 36 hour per week position with the overnight team. Participation in some holiday coverage is required.

Responsibilities:
Triaging incoming patients and managing clients throughout their visitPartnering with DVM’s in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and proceduresCompleting patient daily treatments in a timely manner at key treatment timesAssessing hospitalized patients, using intuitive skills as a Technician Assisting with flow and organization of Emergency and Critical Care departmentObtaining and processing laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspiratesUtilizing different modalities of imaging for patient assessmentExecuting, monitoring, and recovering all assigned sedation and anesthetic eventsQualifications:
