As a new Emergency Department, we have created three different scheduling options that will be discussed during the interview process. Our intent is to find a schedule that meets the needs of our hospital and all of our emergency team while maintaining a strong quality of life by minimizing burnout risk.Cases
Our ER will strive for the highest level of triage care in DFWDoctors will have the ability to transfer appropriate cases to our specialty departments the next dayWe intend to serve all emergency cases from minor routine to critical ailmentsWe anticipate a large population of our cases to be current VCA Dallas patientsER doctors will have the opportunity to perform a variety of emergent surgical procedures and will have the support of three board-certified surgeonsWho do we look for

Qualifications
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalentLicensure in good standing to practice in Texas or the ability to obtainA commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethicsAbout VCA
