Overview We are seeking an Emergency Room CNA , also referred to as a Emergency Department CNA or ( ED CNA) or an Emergency Services C NA (ES C NA) . An Emergency Room CNA (ER CNA) assists nurses and doctors in the emergency room / emergency department by providing patient care, monitoring vital signs, helping with procedures, and ensuring medical supplies are stocked. They also transport patients, document observations, maintain infection control, and offer emotional support in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Shift’s Available : Nights -7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Employment Type : Full Time Location : St. Mary's Medical Center - Blue Springs, MO Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): + H elp patients with basic needs (bathing, dressing, toileting), reposition and transfer patients as needed + M onitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration), assist with wound care and dressing changes under supervision + P repare rooms and ensure medical supplies are stocked, transport patients within the hospital (to imaging or other departments) + A ssist with procedures (e.g., setting up equipment, applying splints), perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and basic life support if certified + R ecord patient information and observations, report changes in patient condition to nurses or doctors and provide emotional support to patients and families + C lean and sanitize patient areas and equipment, follow hospital protocols to prevent infection spread Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.2. Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.3. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.4. Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
