Emergency Medical Technician - EMT

Description:Primary Location: Muskegon

Full Time: 36 hours one week, 48 hours the following

12 hour shifts, every other weekend

Position Summary:
The Basic EMT provides essential pre-hospital care under state and local protocols. Operating under physician direction and within the scope of licensure, the EMT ensures safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver basic life support (BLS) in diverse environments per applicable protocols.Provide accurate and concise verbal reports to receiving medical personnel.Operate Trinity Health EMS vehicles safely and professionally, prioritizing patient comfort and safety.Maintain clear communication with Dispatch via radio or phone.Complete all documentation accurately, legibly, and promptly.Conduct vehicle and supply checks at the start of each shift using Trinity Health EMS checklists.Inspect vehicle readiness, including brakes, lights, and fluid levels.Maintain patient confidentiality and safety.Perform patient assessments and screenings per Medical Control Authority protocols.Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety standards.Maintain cleanliness and readiness of vehicles and quarters per Trinity Health EMS policies.Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Current EMT-Basic license (State of Michigan)Valid Michigan driver’s license with a clean driving record
