Emergency Management Planner
Job Description A client of Insight Global's client is looking for an Emergency Management planner to join their Commercial Utilities team and will support the companys emergency preparedness and compliance efforts within the water and wastewater sectors, particularly in alignment with the Americas Water Infrastructure Act (AWIA). This role involves assisting with strategic planning, coordinating and facilitating meetings, and conducting risk and resilience assessments. The EMP is also responsible for developing and maintaining a variety of emergency planning documents, such as Emergency Response Plans, Continuity of Operations Plans, and Fuel Supply Strategies. Additional responsibilities include performing gap analyses against industry standards, supporting regulatory and policy reviews, and contributing to evacuation, recovery, and communication planning. The role also involves facilitating multi-agency coordination, conducting after-action reviews, and supporting training and exercise programs to enhance organizational readiness. Skills and Requirements Bachelors degree in emergency management, homeland security, business administration, business management, criminal justice, political science, or equivalent relevant professional work experience may be considered.   Minimum of 3-5 years of professional work experience in emergency management. Experience with local, city, and/or county level emergency management experience preferred.   Understanding of various emergency management standards and regulations including but not limited to the FEMA six-step planning process, CPG101, AWWA G440, AWWA G430, M19.   Strong technical writing skills with good oral and written communication skills   Experience supporting Tier 1 emergency risk plans   Familiarity with JPL 100 requirements (per AWAW) Ability to facilitate tabletop exercises and support plan implementation Successful completion of the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) training.   Certified Emergency Manager (CEM®) or Associate Emergency Manager (AEM®) from the International Association of Emergency Managers (iAEM) or equivalent.   Professional & Master Practitioner Continuity Certificate and Master Exercise Practitioner Certificate from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) or equivalent.   Professional & Master Practitioner Continuity Certificate and Master Exercise Practitioner Certificate from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) or equivalent.   Successful completion of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) Incident Command System (ICS) courses:   ICS-100, ICS-200, IS-700, IS-800 ICS-300, ICS-400 null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
