The Emergency Department Technician performs a variety of direct patient care procedures assisting the professional staff, physicians, and/or department leadership to provide mission-driven patient centered care focused on meeting the needs of our patients.
Meets the comfort and hygiene needs of the patient by providing care services such as bathing, oral hygiene procedures, hair care, bed pan/urinal use, skin care and garment, linen and bedding changes. Distributes meals and beverages, takes vital signs, collects lab specimens.
Minimum Education:
Required: High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education
Minimum Experience:
Preferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
Licensure/Certifications:
Required:
BLS American Heart Association
Preferred:
Licensed EMT Paramedic State of Illinois
Licensed EMT-Basic and/or Paramedic State of Illinois
Other: Completion of an Illinois Department of Health program (CNA, EMT-B, EMT-P)with
verification, or the ability to prove an equal or higher level of education in a nursing focused
program.
Compensation:
Salary Range: $16.70 - $25.53 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
