Responsibilities
Position Summary:In collaboration with the nursing and physician staff, the Emergency Department Technician assists in providing timely and appropriate patient-family centered care for all patients in the Emergency Department. In order to assist the Emergency Department Team, this position requires an understanding of care and service needs from minor illness to critically injured/ill pediatric through geriatric population, as well as the ability to react calmly in emergency situations and multi-task in a fast paced environment. This position assists the clinical staff with stocking of medical and nursing supplies, obtaining equipment, performing CPR, taking vital signs, and assisting the Emergency Department Team within their scope of practice, to help provide our patients with the best quality care.
Qualifications
Minimum:Current C.N.A. license or current EMT or EMT-P or current Student Nurse status.American Heart Association BLS card.Must demonstrate the ability to handle people in diverse situations.Preferred:High School graduate or equivalent.Overview
