Responsibilities & duties: Accountable for technical leadership at customers and suppliers o Continuously monitor market share by mapping technology, regulatory changes and competitor activity o Improve and update personal product comprehension and application experience through training and seminars o Drive technical up-skilling of salesforce through targeted training and technical application documentationo Effectively developand train staff to develop a high performing technical team, including target and objectives settingsSupport gross profit growth through technical leadership o Co-own opportunity pipeline from technical perspective with local sales and product teams to ensure high-opportunity projects get delivered on time o Supports new product launches working together with suppliers’ technical team and influencing positively the relationship between Univar and suppliers o Provide sales and product management teams with technical support on specific product lines, projects o Visit key customer and/or high opportunity projects, create account ownership on a technical level o Standardize sample management and drive follow-up process Align with overall Univar goals and requirements: o Ensure all relevant industry data is acquired and used effectively within Univar o Display behaviors that see you as an integral part of all businesses for your industry and a shared accountability for the performance o Improve productivity to cover inflationo Ensure a high standard of EHS for staff, equipment and surroundings o Sharebest practice and encourage both formal and informal communication The duties described in this job description cover the main duties of the role but they are not exhaustive and will vary by country.You may be required to undertake additional or other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business Qualifications & skills Minimum education : University degree in engineering or equivalent Experience: Previous experience in similar tasks (main responsibilities) for 3-4 years mandatory. Understanding of working in an international environment. Previous experience from technical development and support in a B2B environment. Strong knowledge of the industry. Languages : Fluent written and spoken in English Personality: A service minded nature. The ability to see the customer’s needs and expectations. Structured way of working. Take initiative to improve our business. Ability to explain technical terms at an appropriate level. Develop existing customer relationships.
