EMEA Regulatory Compensation, Vice President

As a Vice President in the EMEA Regulatory Compensation team, you will be responsible for monitoring and implementing EMEA remuneration regulations that impact the Firm’s businesses and functions across the region. You will manage regulations affecting both the banking and investment/asset management industries in the UK and across EMEA, including CRD V, IFPR, AIFMD, and UCITS V regulations. Your responsibilities will include managing relevant remuneration policies, processes, governance, regulatory reporting, and disclosures.

 

Job Responsibilities

Primary focus is as the lead for the remuneration regulations specific for the EMEA Asset Management legal entities and countries in EMEA outside of the UK and the EU, whilst also providing cross-team support and advice for UK and EMEA-wide regulatory deliverables, projects and processes as required. Through a comprehensive understanding of all relevant remuneration regulation in the region, including variations across the region, able to provide cover and leverage for other members of the team, as a trusted subject matter expert on regulatory compensation. Lead the annual review of “material risk taker” (MRT) identification methodology, manage monthly reviews and day-to-day management of the MRT population, including advising on complex cases. Prepare Board and Remuneration Committee materials on remuneration governance matters for the above referenced legal entities and countries, working closely with the relevant Heads of HR on the presentations. Prepare and review both quantitative and qualitative regulatory submissions and public remuneration disclosures, including headcount and compensation-related data analysis, external policy disclosures, ensuring very strong attention to detail and accuracy.Draft responses to regulators in EMEA on remuneration practices and processes, as required. Own the annual update of applicable remuneration policies in line with relevant regulations. Partner on regulatory compensation matters within HR, and with Control Function partners and the business, providing subject matter expertise on external regulation and internal policy.Monitor external regulatory developments across EMEA and assess impact for the Firm.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Ability to distil, synthesise and articulate complex regulatory matters.Strong Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel.Strong analytical skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Proactive approach to project management and task prioritisation.Proven ability to work independently with a broad range of stakeholders.Thorough attention to detail.Proactive in raising issues and identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Experience presenting to or preparing materials for senior executive management or Board level.Experience working in HR regulatory or compensation teams.
