Although Univar Solutions is a leading, multi-billion-dollar global product supplier spanning chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food ingredients, cosmetics, and anything else you could think of, serving more than 80,000 customers across 100 countries, our strength is taking the global channels and delivering to European producers, wherever they may be.

 

The Challenge

You will support our three European Product Managers within solvents in EMEA with a portfolio of strategic suppliers and products. It’s a fast-paced, exciting role where you will work with both the internal and external market.

 

Your Key Responsibilities in This Role:

Deliver results and support execution in the Solvents portfolio. Negotiate prices for the product portfolio to give the best advantage to European sales teams. Develop expertise to identify short-term opportunities and provide support to regional local product managers. Communicate product and market information and dynamics to European teams so they can develop and adjust their tactics. Deliver consistent growth opportunities through the analysis of a pricing tool and customer resource data. Maintain and develop the central solvents IT platform. Be accountable for results, gross profit, and volume at an EMEA level.

 

Our Expectations for the Background of a Successful Candidate:

An academic degree is preferred but not a must. A few years of commercial experience. Enough for you to feel comfortable supporting your colleagues and taking on some minor portfolios yourself. We believe you can prioritize tasks and manage a high workload. Previous experience in a chemical distribution environment would be a strong advantage. You work independently in your daily job. We seek energetic, pragmatic, and people with a “can-do” attitude. Fluency in English, speaking, writing, and reading.
