As a Procurement Director (m/f/d), you will have a direct influence on business results with one of the key geographical regions at Emerson's Test & Measurement (T&M) Business Unit. You will be responsible for the sourcing of materials and services, focusing primarily on business-specific needs while representing all of Emerson T&M Global Procurement. In this role, you will define the supply and sourcing strategy and lead supplier relationships. You will have a regional scope that includes providing guidance to manufacturing and supply chain. This role will report to both the Head of Global Procurement and Managing Director of EMEIA Manufacturing.
The role owner contributes to increasing the competitiveness and profitability of our products and solutions by ensuring the availability and quality of materials and services we require to serve our customers. You will seek to strengthen Emerson's competitiveness by achieving value in our purchasing volume and leverage the innovation power of our suppliers. Additionally, the Procurement Director will drive optimized buying activities for both production materials and non-production services for Emerson by using allies within procurement, enhancing competition and intensifying collaboration with the best suppliers in conjunction with our global businesses and cross-functional partners.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Develop and implement long term, sourcing strategies for manufacturing that ensures supply and achieves the company’s overall margin goals. Contract negotiation and management with focus on business-specific Procurement. Responsible for supplier collaboration, suppler performance management, and supply chain optimization for the region and local operations. Identify and apply leverage across global requirements and use supplier’s expertise to improve efficiency and value to business. Represents and leads Global Procurement support to the region and local operations. Guide, coach and support procurement personnel from region / countries to synchronize sourcing strategies for key material fields in line with HQ strategies. Guides the early integration of procurement and ensures adherence to policy and procedures. Guides sourcing, supplier selection, evaluation, continued development of master supplier data through cross-functional teams. Ensures that regional sourcing concludes with contracts based on business requirements at the most beneficial conditions whilst ensuring quality and on-time delivery. Focus on business-specific Procurement. Implements Global Commodity & Category strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials and services. Contributes to implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes, and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g., compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems). Prepares and conducts negotiations to obtain highest feasible value and lowest cost of ownership. Drives Supplier Management processes (e.g., qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification). Ensures a close cooperation with Internal Customers (requisitioners) to ensure customer care and early involvement.Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need: Minimum of 8-10 years in Procurement with at least 3-5 years of direct experience managing procurement personnel in strategic sourcing. BS degree in engineering, business, or similar field or equivalent experience Ability to communicate tactfully and diplomatically in both oral and written formats. Proven expertise in negotiating complex contracts in dynamic supply environment Ability to take direction, both from manager and team-members. Ability to influence, build relationships, and promote solutions without direct authority Demonstrated ability to actively participate in bid, scope, and NPI handoff meetings with the ability to obtain basic information from drawings and/or understand scope documents. Ability to travel 10-30% domestically, with some international travel
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: 3-5 years electrical distribution industry, automation, printed circuit board assembly and/or related industry supplier experience.
