Role Summary:
Pfizer is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented EMEA Event Planner to join the Meetings, External Engagements & Travel (MEET) team. This role is responsible for the end-to-end coordination of regional meetings and events across the EMEA region. The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, market colleagues, and Meeting Planning Agencies (MPAs), ensuring seamless execution, compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and execute day-to-day planning of regional events, ensuring alignment with business unit (BU) needs and Pfizer policies.
Serve as the first point of contact for event-related inquiries and issue resolution.
Collaborate with Meeting Planning Agencies (MPAs), regional and market stakeholders to ensure timely communication, logistics, and reconciliation activities.
Manage event requests, budget approvals, and purchase orders (POs) in systems such as Cvent, Ariba, and SAP.
Support Pfizer-hosted meetings, internal events, congresses, and speaker coordination.
Ensure compliance with MAPP policy, local regulations, and healthcare compliance standards.
Track congress calendars, manage booth logistics, and liaise with technical agencies.
Provide financial oversight, including budget tracking, PO management, and post-event reconciliation.
Maintain vendor relationships, ensure due diligence compliance, and manage vendor profiles.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business, or related field.
At least 1 year of experience in meeting and event planning.
Background in event planning within a shared services or regulated environment.
Fluency in Turkish and English is a must (written and spoken).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience with Cvent, Ariba, and SAP systems.
Strong organizational, and communication skills.
Understanding of compliance, financial controls, and MAPP policy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare event operations.
Familiarity with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) compliance.
