EMEA Life Science Training Lead
OVERVIEW
The EMEA Life Science Training Lead will own and manage the delivery of technical and GxP learning strategies and programs for a Life Sciences account across the EMEA region. The role-holder will develop and maintain an appropriate training matrix to assign required training in a learning management system (LMS). The training lead will collaborate with HSSE, Quality, Human Resources, Engineering, and Account Operations stakeholders to align training needs and requirements, as well as managing vendors who may provide training. Additionally, the role holder will use and administer appropriate tools to track and report on training metrics to show compliance and/or performance. The training lead will collaborate with global training peers, quality, safety and HR to ensure connectivity and alignment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Program Management & Strategy
Develops training strategy, sets direction, and manages training initiatives, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with partner and business goals.
Utilises best practice project management methodologies (Agile, PMP, Six Sigma), to lead training projects within a GxP environment.
Ensures training programs support quality, regulatory compliance standards, and operational objectives.
Tracks project progress against milestones and assists in determining and monitoring time/cost estimates.
Develops and maintains standards, processes, and templates to support instructional design and project management.
Applies process improvement principles and evaluates technology development projects to inform instructional design and training delivery methods and ensure an optimal training experience.
Training Delivery & Administration
Manage and administer training through the validated learning management system.
Manage all day-to-day training work activities, technical and operational training problems including troubleshooting and resolution.
Work with vendors for training as well as subject-matter-expertise to develop and implement training
Identify training needs and opportunities for all employees across all levels.
Compliance & Auditing
Always ensuring audit ready training content, records and metrics for audits by clients and certification bodies.
Supporting internal audits (ISO and JCAP), client audits and certification as training subject matter expert for GxP training related topics.
Track and monitor metrics related to individual, functions and account trainings and reacting to those metrics to ensure compliance with the training program.
Maintains knowledge of JLL’s business to effectively manage a technical training program to meet the JLL Engineering audit requirements.
Stakeholder & Financial Management
Partners with budget owners to implement effective learning and training solutions to staff.
Escalates to vertical peers’ innovative solutions that can increase client satisfaction and supports the stabilization or improvement of any management fee at risk (MFAR).
Interact with multiple levels of personnel from project teams through executive business sponsors
Oversees method to communicate and manage budget for training for skills development based on job task analyses for all staff within their business unit including but not limited to Technical, Administrative, Professional, and Leadership staff.
ACCOUNT/SITE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Travel to various EMEA site locations as required to conduct training assessments, audits, training sessions, client meetings – up to 20-30%.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) qualification in Life Sciences or related discipline
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in regulated environment e.g., pharma, biotech or food.
Prior practical experience working in a GxP environment.
Experience in the use of an electronic learning management system.
Experience of coordinating and facilitating projects / programs of work.
Previous experience in a learning role.
Training qualification or equivalent industry recognised L&D qualification (desirable).
Exposure to regulatory authorities or client’s quality audits (desirable).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Minimum 2 years’ experience with Training System Administration
Minimum 3 years’ experience implementing and managing training (example, quality, safety training or regulatory training) in a regulated environment.
Bilingual is an asset.
Knowledge and understanding of e-learning design principles and is familiar with standard software used for training development & delivery.
Knowledge and understanding of adult-learning theory and best practices for implementing training programs globally.
Proven ability in conducting training needs analysis and job task analysis.
Highly developed interpersonal skills (communication, influencing, listening and presenting) with the ability to adapt style to the needs of the audience/ stakeholder.
Ability to use appropriate business and technical language, when dealing with vendors and SMEs.
Skilled in knowledge transfer techniques.
Demonstrable ability to design and deliver education and training.
Excellent organisational and planning skills.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
