Job Overview

The Transformation and Digital Team is part of the Regional Controllers organization and is responsible for managing various digital initiatives and driving transformation. The team seeks to be a catalyst for change and drive global end-to-end process transformation in partnership with other Finance functions and disciplines. The Digital Solution Design Team’s main responsibility is to expedite the reengineering and transformation activities in order to streamline development and explore new solutions.

The role would be involved in participating and driving various automation projects, coordinated by the Digital Solutions Lead, resulting in more accurate requirements and less Reporting Team involvement during automation. The Team would act as an Internal Consultation Group for Reporting Teams for short term and ad-hoc automation projects, reengineering of current solutions and will be key in having the standard requirements and any necessary artifacts created.

Job Background:

The Team’s scope is UK, EUROPE, MEA clusters and Regulatory Reporting in Citi Service Centre (CSC) in Budapest which is a key part of the Finance function. It is Citi’s pioneering center on a global scale where local regulatory reporting professionals work together in a central location, to ensure consistent quality of local regulatory reporting across multiple jurisdictions and legal vehicles.

The department’s role encompasses from end to end the reporting processes centralized in the CSC for regulated legal vehicles in UK, EUROPE, MEA clusters. Members of the CSC always strive to improve processes and strengthen the control environment, while continuing to make Citi a great place to work.

Responsibilities:

Ensure close collaboration with cross functional team to achieve progress and efficiency, plan and execute on defined Automation Roadmap milestonesAnalyze, optimize and streamline requirements through partnering with Reporting TeamsIdentification of synergies between reports/source systemsSupporting the Reporting Teams with fit-for-purpose assessment of tools and modulesUse Case inventory creation (for modules) and maintenanceDocumentation of project artifactsPlanning of development rollout iterations, oversight of testing periods, coordination of final deploymentHighlighting additional standard (modular) automation options for adjustments, controls, analysisParticipate in prioritization discussions in relation to feasibility assessment and readinessIdentify and anticipate project risks, raise them in a timely mannerBe up to date with new tools and solutions to enhance user experience

The ideal candidate for this position preferably possesses the following qualifications and skills:

University/College degree in Finance/Accounting is an advantage6+ years of work experience in financial or risk reporting, technology, or system implementation rolesExperience in Business AnalysisKnowledge of Data transformation tools (e.g. KNIME, Alteryx and similar to these) and/or Reporting (preferably Regulatory Reporting) skills are a plusStrategic solution mindset, being able to understand the big picture and translate it to bite sized pieces, considering available tools and practices.Interpersonal skills and the ability to achieve consensus on priorities as a cross functional teamBe able to pay attention to details while keeping the overviewTechnology literacy and agile mindset are essentialAdvanced MS Excel knowledgeFluent English knowledgeHas working knowledge or motivation to pick up industry practices and standards (financial products, markets, accounting principles, understanding of regulatory frameworks)Excellent cooperation, communication and presentation skills (high level of PowerPoint competency and visual storytelling skills required)
