The primary objective is to drive group sales for Marriott hotels in the EMEA Convention Network. The role requires active collaboration with stakeholder hotels to ensure revenue targets are achieved, alongside fostering strong relationships with multiple stakeholders across the network. **Scope** + **Location:** Based in Barcelona, Spain + **Language Requirements:** Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus + **Travel:** Occasional business travel may be required across the EMEA region **Key Responsibilities** **Sales and Marketing** + Proactively maintain and grow business from existing accounts while generating new group and catering business to meet or exceed targets + Create and implement business strategies and sales plans for assigned accounts + Coordinate and complete all sales activity, including follow-ups and opportunity management + Collaborate with stakeholder hotels to support and close key enquiries + Maintain ongoing relationships and develop networks for new business opportunities + Develop contracts, correspondence, and customer-centric solutions for assigned accounts + Coordinate hotel site inspections, FAM trips, and hospitality support with properties + Ensure consistent hotel communication regarding account status and customer service needs + Work closely with the Account Director and Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing to assess productivity, explore strategic opportunities, and align direction + Maintain accurate and up-to-date account data and performance reporting + Provide additional support to hotel teams as required **Candidate Profile** **Education & Experience** + Demonstrated progression and performance in the hospitality industry, preferably with experience at property and/or multi-property level + Proven success in sales, account management, or related roles + Experience with Marriott systems (e.g., SFAWeb) is preferred + Flexibility in working hours and location management **Skills & Competencies** + Excellent selling skills with a thorough understanding of the sales cycle and closing techniques + Expertise in developing and maintaining customer relationships + Strong knowledge of group and catering business and related contractual/legal frameworks + Strategic thinker with the ability to execute against sales plans and strategies + Knowledge of all Marriott International brands and understanding of revenue management and profitability + Effective communication (verbal, written, listening) + Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills + Skilled in influencing others, negotiating, and managing multiple priorities + Proficient in organizational skills, hotel systems, and Microsoft Office applications **Management Competencies** + **Leadership** : Leads by example with confidence and professionalism + **Managing Execution** : Delivers timely and efficient outcomes for key sales activities + **Building Relationships** : Cultivates trust and collaboration with clients and colleagues + **Generating Talent and Organizational Capability** : Supports the growth of team knowledge and skill + **Learning and Applying Professional Expertise** : Continuously develops sales acumen and hospitality knowledge **Why Join Marriott International?** At Marriott, you will be part of a global community committed to growth, inclusion, and innovation.
