Work with Engineering staff and chief engineers to develop, design, integrate, and test high-power processing solutions across various product lines and technology areas. These include high-power motor drives, power conditioning systems, highenergy laser systems, battery systems, advanced aerospace and electro-optic sensors, space-based optical communications, small satellites, nuclear thermal propulsion, optical beam pointing and control, and signal/image processing.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop electrical controls and embedded systems architecture solutions for new projects.Perform engineering analyses for systems and circuits, document findings, and communicate results to engineering and program management staff.Give technical presentations and manage technical effort schedules.Function in an advisory or leadership role for projects/programs, providing planning, direction, and oversight to less experienced staff.Formulate multi-year plans, coordinate solutions development and deployment, and ensure proper documentation, reporting, and technical presentations.Evaluate the integration of engineering solutions within the overall engineering environment.Ensure appropriate documentation, testing, maintenance, and engineering updates are completed.Plan for future applications of solutions based on new developments in engineering technology.Develop new and expand existing business opportunities.Communicate with colleagues and management throughout the solution development and deployment cycles.Represent the company as a prime technical contact on contracts/projects and interact with external personnel on technical matters.Essential SkillsExperience in embedded systems development (processor, microcontroller, FPGA).Mixed-signal circuit design (analog/digital).Analysis, design, and implementation of hardware systems including digital, analog, RF, and optical.Bachelor's, master's, or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.Progressive engineering experience (15+ years with bachelor's, 13+ years with master's, or 10+ years with PhD).Active DoD Security Clearance.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $210000.00/yr.
