Responsible for design-based subsystem implementation for complex projects. Break tasks into sub tasks. Write requirements, technical specifications and tests, and develop projects independently. Consider potential risks involved prior to starting projects. Accurately estimate timelines for task completion. Lead design-based implementation changes performed by either an individual resource or multiple resources. Gain buy-in for one’s engineering ideas and influence the broader program or process-change decisions. Contribute to and stay ahead of the curve in terms of new technologies, processes, and workflow. Create test plans for features implemented. Review code and provide insight on problems related to coding standards and architecture. Deliver consistent performance and bug-free codes while implementing. Set the standard for revision and code documentation. Participate in department and company sponsored events, recruitment activities, and community outreach programs. Abide by best practices and industry standards. Provide coaching and mentoring to others. Telecommuting available up to one day per week. Annual salary: $114,442 to $120,164. Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus 3 years of embedded software engineering experience in: (1) Embedded software development lifecycle, (2) Development, design, debugging, and coding in C//C++/C# and CANalyzer, (3) Jira task tracking tools, (4) MATLAB, (5) SVN and Git version control systems; and (6) Communication protocols with CANalyzer and CANoe diagnostic tools.
