Your Position

We are currently looking for a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer at our Lyngby office, to take a key role in the development of our next-generation 1.6Tbps platform.

Our new platform is designed for ultra-high speed data processing supporting the fastest current and emerging Ethernet standards such as IEEE802.3dj and Ultra Ethernet.

You will take responsibility both at the architectural level as well as Embedded design and implementation level.

You will join a talented group of dedicated ESW developers who share a strong team spirit and enjoy close collaboration with the other functions in Engineering.

The Technologies

Layer 1 analog and digital: SerDes, equalization, PAM4/NRZ, FEC, Link Training, Auto NegotiationLayer 2/3/4: Ethernet/IP/UDP/TCP packet structure, composition, manipulationInternal and external timing and synchronization at HW, SW, network level: oscillators/PLLs/clock interfaces, latency compensation, jitter measurement, PTPVarious MII interfaces: USXGMII, GMII, SGMII, etc.SFP technologies from SFP to OSFP and QSFP-DD800; I2C, MDIO, MSA/CMIS management standardsI2C, SPI for transceivers, EPROMs, flash memory and other componentsRegister-based FPGA interfacing over PCIe: Boot-up, configuration, monitoring of highly complex devices with very advanced functionalityEmbedded C/C++ for multi-CPU mixed x86 and ARM architectures, using modern C++Embedded Linux OS environment: Configuration, upgradability, robustness

Your Experience

Preferably 8-10 years’ experience with advanced Embedded Software architecture, design and implementation.

Experience with architecting and developing large/complex systemsExperience with drivers and registers8+ years of C/C++ experience writing and maintaining production-level softwareExperience with data communication, high-speed Ethernet interfaces in particularExperience with scripting, primarily PythonExperience implementing network protocols is an advantageGood English skills, both written and spoken - Danish is an advantage, but not a requirementEngineering background (Master’s or Bachelor’s degree)
