Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer Job Description We are seeking a talented Embedded Software Engineer to join our team. This role involves creating software for black box systems, ensuring the development meets safety-critical standards. Responsibilities + Develop and implement software solutions for black box systems. + Ensure the software meets safety-critical requirements and standards. + Collaborate with external vendors for Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) processes. + Provide advice on architectural changes to prepare for final certification steps. Essential Skills + Proven experience in safety-critical software development. + Strong software development skills focused on safety-critical systems. + Experience with at least one of the following safety compliance standards: DO-178B/C, ARINC 653, ISO 26262, RCO 319-19, RCC 324-11, and/or FAA 14 CFR Part 23/25/27/33. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience working with external vendors for IV&V verification. + Leadership experience in consulting and providing architectural guidance for certification. Work Environment The position involves working closely with external vendors and consultants in a collaborative environment. The role requires a strong focus on safety-critical standards and may involve providing strategic advice and insights on software architecture changes. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $79.00 - $102.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
