JOB DUTIES
Engineers may work in any number of functional areas requiring an engineering degree, including, but not limited to, product design, application and installation, development, research, reliability, product performance/support and service.
Architects, designs, implements and validates onboard software of embedded Linux devices and systems; as well as monitors and enhances the efficiency and stability of the systems.
The key role of this engineering position is to
1. Work with client to define product requirements on Display, Telematics products and prepare concept, design, development, and feasibility studies of complex software engineering projects.
2. Maintain and improve current code bases for onboard embedded software according to feature requests.
3. Architect, analyze and port current software base onto next generation platform to use on new product lines.
4. Investigate and debug embedded Linux software using different tools/methods available to improve code quality and optimize system robustness.
5. Participate in the feature request analysis of Display, Cameras, Telematics embedded system and the overall architecture design with HW collaboration to meet client requirements.
6. Support product issues investigation, root cause identifies and work with corresponding team on resolving problems.
7. Collaborate with internal client for requirements alignment and local issues support/resolution
8. Develop innovative design to support enterprise innovation strategy and product line extension.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Electronics Engineering with 3+ years relevant work experience; or Master’s degree in Computer/Electronics Engineering with 1+ years relevant work experience.
2. Professional experience in Embedded Linux Software development and validation in industry.
3. Good experience with Operating System, lower-level Linux platform applications and libraries
4. Proficient in embedded C/C++ language, Shell, Python and other embedded programming technologies.
5. Have strong independent analysis and troubleshooting capability for issue resolution
6. Proficient in modeling, simulation and algorithm validation of C and C or similar tools
7. Professional or academical experience in computer vision including video codec, image processing would be a plus.
8. Experience with MCU hardware system, familiar with IMX, STM32, TI, NXP and other common MCU chips would be a plus. Good communication skills and documentation capability for how to organize issues and report internally/externally.
9. Proficient in English and Chinese bilingual communication on listening, speaking, reading, writing and presenting.
10. Independently manage customers programs with minimum supervision.
11. Competent in use of Standard business tools including, Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.
