As an Embedded Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for the design, development, and debugging of embedded hardware and firmware. You will collaborate cross-functionally to define system requirements and specifications and ensure the efficient, timely completion of embedded projects. You will report directly to our IA PMC HGAS engineering leader, and you'll work out of our Mexico City location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge embedded systems that power innovative solutions in the IA Industrial Automation, GBE - PMC, and LoB - Gas Portables. You will play a pivotal role in driving the design and development of these systems, contributing to shaping the future of technology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Design and develop firmware/hardware solutions
•Conduct code reviews and implement testing procedures
•Support electronic component selection and validation efforts
•Support electronic component failure investigation
•Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements
•Ensure timely completion of firmware/hardware projects
YOU MUST HAVE
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as electronics, electrical engineering, mechatronics and similar engineering careers
•3-5 years of experience in design, development of embedded firmware/hardware solutions.
•Strong understanding of hardware and firmware integration
WE VALUE
•Master's degree in a field related to Embedded Systems Engineering
•Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies
•Familiarity with C/C++ programing language
•Experience working in embedded firmware architectures / products
•RTOS management
•Solid digital/analog component electronics knowledge
•Working knowledge of interfacing internal and external peripherals like ADC, DAC, Communication interfaces, displays, EEPROMs, SD cards
•Handson experience of development on 8/16/32 bit controllers-based Firmware Systems
•Capability with engineering tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, digital analyzers
•Familiarity with ESD, EMC/EMI, IPX standards
•Familiarity with V&V process
•Have a fundamental understanding of product development, manufacturing, simulation methods and techniques, FMEA, and other engineering principles
•Cybersecurity evaluation is a plus
•Experience with Mentor Graphics software (Xpedition) is a plus
