As an Embedded Automation Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of modernizing how we build, test, and deploy firmware for critical power infrastructure. Your work will directly impact the reliability and security of electrical grids worldwide, while helping our development teams work more efficiently and effectively. 

What You'll Do 

Build the Future: Design and implement cutting-edge CI/CD pipelines for embedded systems 

Solve Complex Problems: Troubleshoot and optimize build processes across Linux, RTOS, and bare-metal platforms 

Automate Everything: Create tools and scripts that eliminate manual processes and accelerate development 

Innovate Testing: Develop device emulation clouds and hardware-in-the-loop testing frameworks 

Collaborate Globally: Work with talented engineers across firmware, software, infrastructure and security teams 

Secure Infrastructure: Administer and optimize on-premise infrastructure, ensuring security and reliability. 

Your Tech Stack 

Development Environments 

Cross-platform development on Windows and Linux 

Modern IDEs: Visual Studio, VS Code, Xilinx Vivado 

Embedded Linux with Yocto Project 

Languages & Tools 

C / C++ for embedded systems 

Python, Bash, and PowerShell for automation 

Build systems: CMake, GCC, Clang/LLVM, Segger, Conan 

Testing frameworks: cpputest, Qemu for emulation, LabGrid and custom HIL solutions 

Infrastructure & DevOps 

CI/CD with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD 

Kubernetes, Docker, Kubevirt and VMware 

On-premise infrastructure management 

Network protocols from embedded to enterprise level 

What We're Looking For 

Must-Haves 

Strong foundation in embedded systems and firmware development 

Experience with build and test automation 

Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail 

Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration 

 

Nice-to-Haves 

Embedded Linux development and security best practices. 

Experience with emulation technologies or hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing. 

Networking knowledge across multiple layers and protocols. 

Contributions to open-source or internal tooling projects.

Pay Range Data:

Associate Embedded Automation Engineer, $78,000 – $95,000. Embedded Automation Engineer, $88,600 – $108,100. Lead Embedded Automation Engineer, $101,700 – $124,000. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills. Our ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location
