Summary of position
The EM R&D Materials Development Team Leader plays a critical role to deliver Kimberly-Clark Enterprise Market (EM) results. This role responsible for partnering with the cross-functional team leaders to set 0-3 years innovation plans, cost transformation and sustainability plans in EM. Delivering the innovation plans on time with highest quality and the best cost – as well as managing the R&D team and priorities across EM organization to ensure fast and max adoption (from other regions and across the region) considering supply complexity and financial optimization. Develop solutions to address key local markets challenges/opportunities that can’t be adopted. This role reports to EM R&D Capability team leader. This role requires a highly collaborative individual living the performance driven culture, who can work closely with senior cross functions and country teams and manage complex product matrix of different formats and different mills capabilities.
Responsibilities
Innovation strategy: Work with cross-functional team leaders and external partners to develop the 0-3 year process/technology innovation pipeline, cost transformation and sustainability for EM, to support the EM growth and to meet KPIs.
Innovation delivery: Deliver the 0-3 year product innovation pipeline by process/technology innovations across all categories formats to support the strategical growth in key lead markets and adopt & adapt markets. Work with Global R&D leaders under adopt first and adapt to EM needs (formats, mill capabilities, cost and sustainability).
Move fast: Overcome barriers for fast implementation cross markets and formats.
Cost transformation and Asset standardization: support cost transformation initiatives to optimize products and raw materials cost and to improve profit. Lead asset standardization by driving common technology platform.
Team leader: lead R&D engineering team. Evaluate opportunities across categories and prioritize resources. Develops and sustains talent through development and coaching. Creates an environment to share and leverage best practice and knowledge.

Requirements
+10 years of experience in R&D innovation and/or capital engineering. Professional background in engineering.
Ability to resolve complex problems and translate market observations to business opportunities.
Experience in process/technology development to provide innovation solutions and process optimization.
Experience in building innovation pathways cost effectively with end user target and growth in mind.
Financial and commercial understanding of market dynamics, P&L and how to build and evaluate business cases.
Strong capability to make decision and to drive for clear decisions and actions. Analytical and fact-based decision-making skills with strong intuition, be able to “connect the dots” and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
Highly developed collaboration skills with an ability to work and influence across a matrix organization, influencing peers, other functions with credibility and strong business leadership
Building and Leading Teams: The leader should have the ability to build, motivate, manage, and develop strong teams (both direct and indirect).
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively translate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
