Quality Control Technician – 2nd Shift

In this role, you will be deploying and facilitating the quality culture in Electrification Smart Power (ELSP). You will be responsible for ensuring and controlling quality to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations, representing the voice of the customer, and upholding product and process compliance to ABB standards.This position reports to

Your responsibilitiesInspect and troubleshoot any defects or discrepancies in conformityAssist other QC(Quality Control) Technicians, Operators, Wirers and Assemblers when quality questions arisePerform inspections using measurement tooling (calipers, gauges, meters, etc.)Train other employeesInspect, examine, and observe for product or equipment defectsPerform other related duties as assignedYour background2-3 years of experience in LP assembly, wiringExperience using computers Microsoft office apps like excel, word and web applications1-year experience in qualityAbility and willingness to read and interpret technical drawings and modelsSkilled in using tools, such as a screwdriver, crimper, and air gunGood written and oral communication skillsAbility and willingness to climb ladders, stand/walk for long periods of timeUnderstand and carry out oral and written instructionsWork along of as a member of a teamWork rapidly for long periods of timeInitiative, teamwork, flexibility & attention to detailDesired experience in SAP, supplier net, salesforce, windchill, fletch (waiver/ncm workflows), BOX and SharePointAbility to work with teams and coordinate activities like rework, collaborate with suppliers and facilitate return of materials (RMA’s)Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USAbility to document and track data in Microsoft Office Applications
