Elite/Lead Field Service Technician

The Elite/Lead Field Service Technician is responsible for initiating and executing field service activities at customer sites in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. This role involves working with advanced and complex systems, including mechanical, electrical, and diesel-powered equipment. The technician will have direct interaction with customers and may be responsible for supporting multiple systems, locations, or client accounts. This role also includes escalating issues as needed and utilizing appropriate company resources to resolve challenges related to personnel or customer concerns. **Core Responsibilities and Tasks** + Foster and maintain a safe working environment and safety-focused culture throughout the organization + Properly handle and care for company property + Work with advanced, multi-system, and/or complex technical systems + Proactively troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems and equipment + Identify and resolve safety issues involving both company-owned and customer-owned equipment + May be responsible for supporting multiple systems, locations, or customer accounts + Escalate issues as needed and engage appropriate internal resources to resolve personnel or customer concerns + Provide coaching and training to entry-level technicians **Position Requirements** **Formal Education** + High school diploma or GED + Technical certification, degree, or industry-specific licenses + Technical military background preferred **Knowledge & Experience** + Eligibility to obtain a TWIC card + Eligibility to obtain a CDL Class A or B with applicable endorsements + 5–7 years of technical experience, preferably in industrial or commercial process water systems + Proficiency with Microsoft Office and smart devices + Strong customer service experience + Demonstrated critical thinking and troubleshooting skills + Basic knowledge of control systems (e.g., PLCs) **Driving Requirements** + Must be able to operate a company vehicle + Must meet all driver qualification requirements, including: + Driver Application for Employment + Driver Disclosure and Release + Employee Applicant Drug and Alcohol Statement + FMCSA Certificate of Awareness + Driver Certificate of Violations + Driver Statement of On-Duty Hours + Successful Road Test + Valid driver’s license (copy front and back) + Current medical certificate **Additional Details** + Must be able to work independently and as part of a team + Typically works with little to no direct supervision + Capable of leading, coaching, and motivating others **Travel Requirements** + Travel up to 50% or more required **What We Offer** Our **Total Rewards Program** goes beyond base compensation to create a fulfilling work experience and offer competitive benefits, including: + Generous paid time off and holidays + Comprehensive retirement savings plan + Customizable health, dental, and vision insurance (eligible on day one) + Career development and progression opportunities + Recognition and rewards programs + Paid parental leave + Tuition reimbursement + Company wellness program + Employee discount program Salary range: $66,400.00 - $106,200.00 Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
