The Finance Analyst (f/m/d) is responsible for leading the annual planning and monthly forecasting cycles, preparing and reporting monthly actuals and forecasts to the Genomic Medicine Finance team, while acting as the main partner for the broader Elevecta Leadership team.

This position reports to the Finance Leader, Viral Vector and is part of the Genomic Medicine Finance Team located in Cologne, Germany and will be an on-site role. 

What you will do:

Financial Planning and Analysis activities including forecasting and actuals variance analysis.

Develop and maintain performance KPIs to drive growth and profitability for Elevecta’s portfolio, including orders, sales, pricing, margin, and market share; to frequently present the analysis of actuals vs plan.

Monitor the progress on agreed initiatives, through relevant KPIs and Risks & Opportunities, to pro-actively recommend mitigation actions for any deviations from target performance metrics.

Maintain a culture of control, compliance, and appropriate record keeping with regards to financial controls within local and Cytiva standards supporting the statutory account and specific legal entity requirements.

Who you are:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration degree and minimum of 3 years of financial work experience developing forecasts and operating plans.

Working in a global business environment with strong understanding of Accounting Principles, Controllership (i.e. SOX, US GAAP), and operational processes.

Strong skills in financial systems / applications (i.e. Oracle, Qlik, Power BI, etc.) for reporting and business intelligence, and expert skills in Microsoft Excel for data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, vlookup, power queries, and macros).

Excellent communication skills to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy-to-understand manner both verbally and written.

Fluent in English and German languages is mandatory.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Finance / FP&A within international organizations in the Life Sciences / Healthcare industry.

Experience successfully leading cross-functional projects and process improvement within the operations/finance functions being able to quickly grasp new ideas and drive positive change.
