Electronics Technician I/II/III

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Test, repair, convert, and troubleshoot SEL products to the component level;

2. Provide technical support for SEL products to staff and customers;

3. Collaborate and communicate effectively within an international team environment;

4. Develop and maintain expertise in SEL processes and products to ensure quality and integrity;

5. Train junior department personnel in troubleshooting techniques;

6. Implement department objectives under the direction of your immediate supervisor;

7. Model and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles;

8. Understand, create, and simplify SEL processes;

9. Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

Strong English reading, technical writing, and speaking skills;

Two-year electronics engineering technology degree or equivalent;

Basic working knowledge of analog and digital electronics;

Familiarity with modern test equipment;

Willing to travel up to 10% of the time;

Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities;

Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.


Preferred Qualifications

Component level troubleshooting experience;

Knowledge of SEL equipment;

Technical presentation skills;

Data analysis skills.



Physical Requirements

Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 35 pounds occasionally
Sit and stand for at least 8 hours
Vision correctable to 20/30 or better
Ability to differentiate color
Use of computer keyboard devices
Reach
