Electronics Technician

Rite-Solutions, Inc. is seeking a well-organized, reliable Electronics Technician to join our team on-site in Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport, RI. The electronics technician's responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing electronics, reading manuals\/procedures\/drawings, and installing new equipment, performing routine servicing and inspections, assisting with training, recruitment, and electronic upgrades, and reporting to the supervisor. You should be able to provide excellent customer service and manage electronic systems and equipment efficiently.\n

To be successful as an electronics technician, you should demonstrate strong mechanical skills and enjoy performing tasks with your hands. Outstanding electronics technicians can use a wide range of resources to solve problems and feel comfortable working alone and in a team.\n

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nAnalyze designs of electrical, electronic, and\/or mechanical components and systems to be used in Imaging, Electronic Warfare, and\/or Radar systems.\nIntegrate, installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic components associated with Electronic Warfare, Imagining, and Radar systems.\nEnsuring all power and manual tools are operated in accordance with health and safety regulations.\nLiaising with Supervisors and clients to discuss work schedules and time and material cost estimates.\nCarrying out scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing equipment.\nPerforming equipment demonstrations and drawing up training manuals wherever required.\nInterpreting drawings, training manuals, and instructions to perform duties.\nFollowing written, verbal, and telephonic instructions.\nAttending regular training workshops and reporting to the supervisor.\nCoordinate with Team Lead and work with the engineering team to review, design, analyze, and recommend changes required to ensure component or system performance requirements are met.\nProvide recommendations for process improvements to existing systems and operational processes.\n\n

Requirements\/Skills:\n\nExperience in operating, maintaining, and\/or repairing Electronics components and\/or systems.\nTechnical Writing skills are required as well as proficiency with MS office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat\nCandidates must be able to work independently, collaboratively as part of a team, and interface regularly with a wide range of client personnel\nStrong initiative, willing to ask questions & research accordingly\nFamiliarity with general-purpose and RF laboratory test equipment, including, but not limited to:\n\noscilloscopes\nspectrum analyzers\nVolt\/Ohm meters\npower supplies\nsignal generators\n\n\n\n\nWillingness to learn and accept constructive feedback.\n\n

Additional Skills of Interest (not required):\n\nRF systems involving antennas, amplifiers, diplexers, filters, and signal distribution between coax.\nFamiliarity with Fiber Optics\nExperience with Industry and\/or Government standards\nFamiliarity with VISIO, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar design and engineering-oriented applications\nOperational submarine experience (ETR\/ETV preferred; FT, STS, ETN will also be considered) operating and maintaining Imaging, Electronic Warfare, and\/or Radar systems such as:\n\nAN\/BLQ-10 Electronic Warfare System and Early Warning Receiver\nISIS, Type 8\/18 Periscopes, Photonics Masts, etc.\nAN\/BPS-15\/16\/17 Radar Systems\n\n\n\n

MUST be a U.S. Citizen and hold a SECRET security clearance. A very recent (inactive < 2 years) security clearance is acceptable.\n
