The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) is a residential, sex offense specific treatment program in a modified therapeutic community and secure setting that provides services to over 700 individuals who have been civilly committed for sexual offending. MSOP is a national leader in the industry and is committed to providing services on the leading edge of the comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and management of clients.
The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) is seeking an individual to join our team for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as an Electronic Systems Specialist Moose Lake, MN location. This position is responsible for providing electronics systems services for automated building, security, and communication systems. This includes computer-networked systems that control security, life saving devices, video, video teleconferencing, data transfer, energy management, telecommunications, digital communication, high tech video and audio recording, perimeter alarm, and building automation, all of which support a therapeutic environment which is safe for clients, staff and visitors. The Electronic Systems Specialist not only handles everyday technical problems and solutions, but they also analyze the cause of malfunction and re-evaluate the existing data or systems.
Primary Responsibilities include:
+ Providing electronic systems support of building and perimeter security equipment and systems and communications equipment and systems including related software applications so that building system networks, data functions and electronics operate correctly, efficiently, and in compliance with established policy and regulations
+ Assisting in the specification and selection of electronics equipment and system, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing electronics equipment and systems.
+ Providing technical skills in the support of PC touch screen bubble control of all doors, cameras, intercom communication, duress alarms
+ Servicing facility security systems
+ Designing, specifying, and properly installing alarm, communications, and computer network systems
+ Developing and implementing a preventative maintenance program
**Minimum Qualifications**
Must meet the following qualifications listed below:
+ High school diploma or GED
+ Three years of work experience in installing, calibrating, configuring maintaining and repairing electronics equipment including one or more of the following:
+ Fire alarm systems
+ Electronic door lock systems
+ Fence detection systems
+ Digital recording systems
+ Software programming
+ Electronic security systems
+ Computer Network administration
+ Power Limited Technician License
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Electronics experience in a correctional or secured environment installing, calibrating, configuring maintaining and repairing electronics equipment such as security systems, fence detection, or closed circuit television
