The Electronics System Engineer reports to the Product Development Lead and provides the technical expertise to architect and develop high-quality, verifiable, requirements that define a solution capable of satisfying all customers requirement. They lead the team through the development, review, analysis, and planning of the project risk and requirements management processes. This position is located in Simsbury, CT.
Responsibilities:
Decompose functional requirements, and define and maintain specifications for electronics products.Ensuring technical adherence to project and system requirements.Collaborating cross functionally to identify critical requirements and risks throughout the program life cycle.Identifying critical interfaces and boundaries, and developing the interface verification planFacilitating and leading the creation, review, and maintenance of the requirements VCRM, risk register, and risk mitigation plansEnsuring disciplined maintenance of the requirements management tool, including verification plans and objective evidenceDriving regular reviews of the project’s risks, risk mitigation plans, and risk reduction activitiesCommunicating and flowing down requirements to the rest of the project teamRequirements:
BS/MS in an engineering discipline, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Computer EngineeringMinimum of 3 years of experience analyzing and developing system, sub-system, and component requirementsPrevious experience leading cross function teams through requirements management activitiesSystems engineering education, certification, and affiliations desiredDOORS experience desiredEnsign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
