Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronics Technician to support, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic systems integrated into hydraulic test equipment. The technician will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and performance of hydraulic test benches and related instrumentation used for component testing, calibration, and development.
Essential Functions
+ Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic control systems used in hydraulic test equipment.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to sensors, data acquisition systems, HMIs, and control interfaces.
+ Calibrate and verify performance of pressure transducers, flow meters, temperature sensors, and other instrumentation.
+ Collaborate with mechanical and hydraulic technicians to support system-level diagnostics and repairs.
+ Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to identify faults and perform corrective actions.
+ Support upgrades or modifications to test equipment, including wiring, PCB replacement, and firmware updates.
+ Document maintenance activities, test results, and system changes accurately.
+ Maintain compliance with safety protocols, electrical codes, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
Required:
+ Minimum 5 years of related experience, trade or military training, working with electronic systems in an industrial or testing environment.
+ Strong knowledge of analog/digital circuits, signal processing, and electronic troubleshooting.
+ Demonstrated ability to read engineering drawings, sketches, schematics and procedures.
+ Proficiency with common shop hand tools, as well as using oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, and other diagnostic tools.
+ Proficiency in soldering PCBs and cabling.
+ May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred:
+ Associate’s degree or certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
+ Experience working with hydraulic test stands, instrumentation, or similar automated test equipment.
+ Familiarity with National Instruments (NI), LabVIEW, or similar data acquisition platforms.
+ Experience in aviation, defense, automotive, or other regulated industries.
+ Light fabrication ability/skills.
