Electronics Engineer

We are seeking an Electronics Engineer to join our manufacturing test team at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL).

 

You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving test systems to ensure the highest quality and reliability of our advanced power system protection products. You will work with a team of engineers and technicians to design and improve automated test systems, analyze test data, and drive the quality and performance of our products.

 

As an Electronics Engineer in manufacturing test, a typical day will include the following:

Evaluate new test technologies and methods.

Create and modify electrical schematics for automatic test systems.

Design, develop, and sustain automatic test systems for new and existing products.

Create and modify automated test scripts for deployment to automatic test systems.

Gather and analyze test data to improve test coverage and efficiency.

Identify, measure, and improve processes.

Understand. Create. Simplify.

Other duties as assigned.


This job might be for you if you:

Have a BSEE, BSEET, or equivalent work experience.

Have experience with electronic test and measurement equipment.

Have programming or scripting experience in Python, C#, SCPI, or other languages.

Enjoy learning new skills and challenging yourself.

Enjoy working cooperatively in a team environment on a mix of short-term and long-term projects.

Have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in electronic hardware design, test, or validation.

Skill in design, development, and troubleshooting of automatic test systems including test fixtures or stations.

Experience writing test procedures.

Pay Range:

We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills. Associate Test Engineer: $60,800.00 to $95,000.00 annually. Test Engineer: $69,100.00 to $108,100.00 annually. Lead Test Engineer: $79,400.00 to $124,000.00 annually.
